I thought it was amazing then because I figured the players were lesser known major leaguers. I REALLY wanted to get excited about it but no matter how I looked at it, I coulbn't justify pulling the trigger because I just did not know who those guys were. I couldn't find a single name on the Minor League database through SABR. I still would have thrown a bid out there had I known it would have gone that cheap, but oh well.

Rhys

Posted By: Dan Bretta
There was one recognizable name (Frank Rooney played in the Federal League), but he has no connection to either the NL or AL Boston club. What a strange set of pics.....Someone could make good money if they ever found the negative for the photo of the little boy with his pennant.

Posted By: ramram
It is possible that these guys are with a newspaper team.?.? Most of the big city newspapers back in those days had teams. I'm not so sure they didn't often get some of the major league team's old uniforms either.

Rob M.
