A look into the Topps Transcendent Party (last year, Ken Griffey Jr)

Saw this on Blowout and figured you guys might want to see it:

For those not tracking, Topps sells a very limited set of cards (like 100-200 total, half autographed) each year for around $25K each. Included in this box is an invitation to an exclusive party with a star player, and one of those oversized cut autographs. You can go down the Youtube rabbit hole to see box breaks of this product.

However, some people sell their party invitation to others for around $5K. So in case you want to see a future year one or just see what it entails, read on. It is not my thread, maybe I'll get to one of these (and a National) some day.

I bought some of the cards from when Mike Trout was featured. But I couldn't afford any of the autographed cards. PSA labeled the #1960 as 2018 but the others are labeled 2019. I don't know when the event happened, but I assume 2019 is the correct year.

Yeah, they usually release the case of cards after the season, and hold the party the following Feb/Mar. Gives people a chance to make travel arrangements or resell their tickets. That's one of the confusing parts for grading companies or collectors.

I've been told that you get between $2-4K in cards/autographs etc in your "swag bag" depending on which players you pull from your packs, on average.
