1921 Exhibit Ruth
 
This might have been covered before and if so, forgive me. But what uniform is Ruth wearing in the 1921 Exhibit. Cause it’s not a Yankee uniform. I believe at one point someone told me it was a photo from a film? I’m sure someone here knows. Thanks all!

Thanks. I can’t make out the letters too great. But seems like an “L” and an “A” as part of a word in the second half of the name on the jersey front. And the cap insignia doesn’t look like the interlocking NY. Looks more like a star...

You can see the "New York" better in the photo that was used for the card.

Jeff is correct, def 1920 and one of earliest shots in Yankee uniform.

Such a great image. I always loved the 1921 Exhibit card, but the detail on the original photo takes it to another level.
