I don't get this at all. These changes will do what, shave two minutes off the average game time? Who cares?

Among the things baeball had going for it was the general continuity across a lot of years. While other sports were constanly changing, Basball was mostly the same as it had been for decades. Aside from the DH, what major rule changes happened between say 1930 and 1980?

Now they're getting like the NFL, (which does need rule changes to address safety) Or Rollerball, with constant pointless changes.

Lowering the mound comes to mind... but, yes, rules were very stable.

I'm not sure I would consider any of the changes being made for 2024 to be major rule changes. If they were never announced, I doubt most people would even notice they were made when watching games next year.
