Cracker Jacks

Posted By: J Levine
Now, I am not an expert in Cracker Jacks but Broadway Rick (groan) has listed 4 or 5 of the toughest including the Jackson on ebay. And he has recieved a lot of bids because he says they are 100% Authentic. The scans make them look extremely fake to me. Black and white backs? Ultra-white borders? How can people be bidding on these? And of course, no returns at all. <shaking my head in disgust>

-Joshua

Posted By: 823dek
I too seen these and ugh ! They look sorta hazy and the borders are too too white,I cannot believe that one would jeopardize their credibility in such a obvious way. Maybe he was drunk at purchase point and wants to off them on one of us.

Cracker Jacks

Posted By: The Other One
This is a 1915 Cracker Jack I bought for too much, and the stain on the top was so bad, you could hardly read the "Cracker Jack" (sorry, I don't have "before and after" pictures). After two years of being stored in Mylar, it's still stained, but only mildly (the back escaped, for some reason).

(I was once looking through my mother's rock collection with her, and picked up a really beautiful one, with a crack in it. I said "Too bad this one is cracked," and she said "Yes, but it's healing." She was serious! Some cracks in rocks do heal--over thousands of years!)
