Definitely not the correct slab for that card. Makes me wonder how the seller got it so perfectly centered in that slab for the pic?

I remember reading something from PSA that says they sometimes run out of the correct size holder and will use the next best thing. I remember this because I was planning on calling them before I ever made a large T206 submission. I'd be pissed if a few hundred came back to me in modern size holders with the card inside a sleeve. I have a couple in my collection like that.

I have a couple items like that, and the cards never stay centered in the slabs. Very irritating.

They have a bunch of listings and looks like they are stretching each of the cases/cards for the angle?

They are more likely trying to avoid glare or reflection on the case. Those two look fine to me. The labels always stay the same size no matter how large the holder is. That's the best way of telling what the holder size is. 1952-1956 Topps are the largest cards that will fit in a standard size holder.

It amazes me that you can buy a quality scanner for about $200, yet people post horrible images taken with a camera.

Actually closer to $100 for an Epson V33 which does a great job

I agree. There's a few large ebay sellers I sometimes want to cuss out because I'm tired of blury pictures and can't see the details on the back of the cards. It's like, if you know your pictures suck, at least be clear in the description what your selling. I hate having to ask, is it a factory 25, 30, or 42? If you don't want to buy a scanner, then describe the card better.

Sorry, some of us only sell occasionally and it's not worth even the small investment. Or aren't tech savy enough to get the pics from the scanner to ebay.

I did recently invest in an Epson v300 series scanner. But honestly just like when I owned a scanner 20 years ago, it’s cumbersome to drag it out and open the software and take the time to do a proper job. I save this for when I have a new acquisition that I really want to show off properly, or (probably more frequently) when I need to sell something and have a need to very accurately represent the card.

All that being said - if you take your time and learn how to do it right, modern smartphone cameras are capable of taking incredibly good pictures of cards for what they are. Too bad that most people seem to wind up with blur and glare, because I really think this is more of a result of carelessness than it is someone truly lacking the equipment to do the proper job.
