Wow, that Foxx is incredible. That's an India ink signature from a time when people cared about their signatures. I snuck in and got a 33 Ott and Hubbell while the focus was on that beautiful signed stuff. I hope whoever consigned these two cards knows how much I appreciate our mutual centering OCD.

I love that signed Jimmie Foxx, because it accentuates Goudey’s misspelling error.

Broke the bank with this purchase of 43 different 1933 Goudey cards. Am not chasing the set but I just love the cards, even the commons.

A very rare "Purple Hindu" ........... :p ........... and a tougher than average EPDG ....... ;)

Added another RPPC catcher, a T205 Cady with Polar Bear back, and a new T210 Hub Gilmore (Series 5.)

But I like the look of this one

Fantastic Cobb! And it sure is one of his more popular ones - love it!

Count me in as another fan of this Cobb Sir, love the "silent assassin" look. Enjoy it for a long time.

Those '33 Goudeys just pop, guys. Really nice. I got back into that set last year, picked up a bunch at the National and had a great time hunting down nice ones.

Sorry for not being prewar, but my only recent purchases. A couple of HOF upgrades. Sorta bummed about the cracked case on the Schuerholz. Apparently, happened during transit - not the seller's fault; bubble wrap packaging looked totally adequate. Oh well, the card is fine. Also, finally found a Type I photo of Milton Richman - the HOF sportswriter, who played briefly in the minors. Aw... executives!! (yawn)

Stuff I've been able to pick up via trades or buys

The old mill cobb has been one that always eluded me for years but finally found one that I liked enough to move on

Really like the E90-3 Walsh with that big top border. Nice additional pick ups as well obviously. :D

It took me awhile to find one at a good price..always see them for ebay asking lol definitely glad to add one to the box ( I'm sucker for red backgrounds)

Beautiful Cobbs!

I'm really excited about this one. Not an easy card to find in any condition, and this is as nice a 2 as you'll see (a small corner crease and bit of paper loss over the already white bottom border).

This is my 2nd Cobb pick up this month and I was able to get it with the Turkey Red Cigs on the Back

Thanks to Ron for the T3 McIntyre variation that I needed. Now just down to Walsh and Tenney (NY and Boston) to complete the T3 set.

Holy crap. Awesome month so far - two t227 Cobbs, tons of t213s, T206 HOFers and SLers. There are too many great pickups to recognize individually, but I must give a shout out specifically to the M131 Baltimore Newsboy... those are tuff! And Michael’s freak is totally awesome and unique.
