Anyone else having problems?

YazFenway08 04-18-2021 10:05 PM

yes. it crashed right as the final lot by lot started

wondo 04-18-2021 10:05 PM

Timing out - no bueno

Bored5000 04-18-2021 10:06 PM

Also having problems here with the REA site timing out.

tribefan 04-18-2021 10:06 PM

same here

Bored5000 04-18-2021 10:09 PM

I am able to get back into the site now.

BeanTown 04-18-2021 10:12 PM

Went back up and is niw back down again.. frustrating

wondo 04-18-2021 10:13 PM

On for a bit; now no connection

Back up - very exciting!!!

sflayank 04-18-2021 10:13 PM

lots are reopened

sb1 04-18-2021 10:14 PM

reopened and was running, I won several lots after 10 minutes had ran off and showed lot closed and now reopened for 20 minutes. :(

Jobu 04-18-2021 10:15 PM

Went back up and they reopened the lots that closed after the site was down for 7 minutes of the first 10-minute period. Good call by REA to open them back up (and with a longer 20-minute window).

YazFenway08 04-18-2021 10:18 PM

I know stuff happens...but this is now a bit of a cluster

jonvancouver 04-18-2021 10:31 PM

They should leave it up for another 8 hours...snoozefest.

nolemmings 04-18-2021 10:32 PM

Well I just bid on a card with 25 seconds to go, waiting on purpose, only to be told that the lot is closed. And then that the auction ran until 12:39, which is a about eight minutes from now. Very disappointing

Now it says that same auction ran until 12:44, which is again in the future.

pokerplyr80 04-18-2021 10:34 PM

Yea I was out for a minute or two but got right back in

jonvancouver 04-18-2021 10:34 PM

Won a couple auctions and this is the message. Makes sense except the part where the auction ran until 9 minutes from now lol.
This lot is closed. Bidding is not allowed.

Item was in Auction "REA Spring 2021",
which ran from 4/2/2021 12:00 PM to
4/19/2021 12:43 AM

sb1 04-18-2021 10:40 PM

I believe that is the projected earliest time it can now end, based on the ten minute window. Once the auction ends that clock will show the exact end time.

Casey2296 04-18-2021 10:43 PM

Snafu. I would expect better from REA. Other than that it was a bloodbath, congrats to the Net54 members who won, time for a Whiskey.

Same here. Went down but I was able to get back on. Watched the last of the 10 minute countdown and at 10 after it said lot closed. Then it opened back up for the 20 minutes. Then I read the email. No other bids. Closed again.

I’m assuming I won the lot. Not really sure.

I should try and not start drinking until after the auction is over. I thought I saw the auctions re-open, but thought it was just the beer.

Anyway, fun auction. I scored a small group of Buchner's. Lost out on a number of other lots I wanted. Not to go over everyone's heads with literary references, but as the modern day poet, Dolly Parton once said, Here you come again, and here I go.

Maybe so, but that doesn't explain how I bid on a ticking clock on the exact auction item only to be told the lot was closed and bidding was not allowed.

Some of the greatest card collections have been built on good Whiskey. Congrats on the pick up Rob, I had a consignment do well so I was able to pick up a one of my Unicorns tonight.

chadeast 04-18-2021 11:12 PM

I was hoping for the T3 WaJo (SGC Gd+) but there were already two bidders going at it as I sat waiting, so I knew my odds weren't good. I threw a strong bid in there after midnight, but it wasn't meant to be. Odds are at least one of those bidders was a net54 member, and hopefully picked it up. If so, congrats on the Turkey!

Frankish 04-18-2021 11:12 PM

I think I won a Gehrig photo...wasn't sure at first because of the glitches and policy change.

I think REA did a good job overcoming the extended bidding snafu. From what I can tell, every lot got at least a 10 minute extended bidding, and while things were spotty for about 10 minutes, they fixed whatever the issue was an the auction ended smoothly. Plus, considering prices how strong prices were, I dont think affected consignors much.

I picked this up. I am very happy.

rainier2004 04-19-2021 09:18 AM

That is an amazing card Ryan, was watching that one, Congrats stud!

Casey2296 04-19-2021 09:27 AM

Great addition to your collection Ryan, congrats.

molenick 04-19-2021 09:31 AM

Stunning cdv!

I think they did the best they could considering the situation. My only glitch was that items I thought I had won at 12:10 got reopened so I needed to wait until 12:31 to see if I won them. In the meantime an item I was not winning was closing before 12:31 because it had a bid placed on it after 12 (and I didn't want to bid on that lot without knowing if I needed to raise my bids on the other lots). In the end, I placed a bid on the lot at 12:22 just to keep it open (and was automatically topped) but I cut it too close so that when the lots I was winning closed, I didn't give myself enough time to get back into the lot I was losing. But, to be fair, since I kept getting topped by an auto-bid, it is unlikely I would have won the other lot anyway.

"Some of the greatest card collections have been built on good Whiskey"

one of the most classic quotes I've seen - nice Phil

YazFenway08 04-19-2021 11:12 AM

I have a pretty unfocused collection built on bad whiskey...does that count?
