Found Ledger - Prices Paid for T206's in mid 80's

I was looking through an old box of my collectibles from '86 and found my first T206 checklist and prices paid. I was 10 years old and worked in a card shop every Saturday. Here are prices on a few:

Griffith portrait/sc - vg $25 *notation that this was difficult card to find "rare" haha
Johnson portrait/pd - vgex $125 *Gave this card up for a '56 Clemente
Young glove/sov - gd $75
Tinker hand knee/om - $20
Evers portrait/pd - $30
Mathewson/sc - pr $75
Sweeney - $2
Hallman/pd - vg $7.50
Rhoades arm/sc - gd $10
Purchased small lot of commons at flea market (7 cards). - pr-vg $20
Traded Mattingly Topps RC for a M Brown portrait
Traded Clemmons Fleer RC for Sandburg, Boggs and Dubuc

Avg price paid for commons was $15

Enjoy

Eric

Oops. Lol. Great to see those prices. How many of those original T206's do you have left in your collection? Have you had any of them graded?

On vacation in Hawaii and just got back from a Sat market full of junk, one guy had some 80/90s cards and mentioned he had stacks of tobacco baseball cards, didn't bring them because they aren't worth hauling the box!!! I dream of finds like that.

Somewhere at my parents house is a box of index cards which my brother and I kept all our T card purchase records on back in the late 80's and early 90's. We bought dozens of T206's from a guy in Florida for betwen $5-$12 after reading an ad in SCD I believe.

I had the Griffith until last year when I again "got out" of collecting and sold off my collection. I'm back on the wagon and working on the Cubs for the gazillionth time. All I know is I am always willing to trade Donnie Baseball for Three Finger............any takers?
