1951 Bowman Willie Mays Questions
 

I just wanted to know how this would grade and how much it would go for on the open market. Many thanks in advance.

All the slabbed low grade '51 B Mays have been pretty much cleaned out on ebay recently. They had been going for around 2000 for a PSA 1, but now the only new listing is asking 6000 or best offer for one that's similar to yours.

It's anyone's guess what the current value of a 1 would be (between that 2000 and 6000) until there are some new sales. If I had to take a stab at it, probably 3000-3500 at the moment

A PSA 1 just sold a couple days ago for just under $2k. So my guess would be more in the $1500-$1600 range.

That was almost a week and a half ago, which seems like a lifetime in this market for Mays' best cards. I think that person priced it too low as well.

For the record though, my estimate was for the poster's card graded as PSA 1, not selling it raw
