Artvue Plaques

Artvues

From 53-63...Artvue was the official producer of the Baseball Hall of Fame's postcards available for public sale. The 3-1/2 X 5-1/2 black and white cards depict the bronze plaque of each inductee. Fronts have a white border. Postcard-style backs have a bit of player data and identification of the specific producer. On Type 1 Artvue cards, issued 1953-55, the bolt holes in the four corners of the plaque are open...On Type 2 Artvue cards, issued 1956-63, there are baseball bolts in each corner of the plaque.

Thanks. I already new that but appreciate it.
I really would rather not go through all the HOFers and look at date inducted and date died and figure out the possible ones. I hoping someone has already done that and could put it here or send me a list

I don't have it broken down by Type 1 or Type 2, but this is the list I compiled for possible B&W Plaques in general. Additionally, it was the general consensus that, though while still living for a short time after the plaques were issued, authentic examples of three players do not exist. Those players being Mordecai Brown, Rabbit Maranville and Joe Tinker. Others, like Burkett especially, would be exceedingly rare.

To help narrow it down for you further, these players were possible on B&W only, meaning by the time the gold plaques started to be produced, these players had passed away. The players alive when gold plaques were made could obviously be found on both B&W types.
