Any interested in a NEW Piggyback Special for OLD cards??? GRADES POSTED!! DELIVERED!

I'm getting one together. I got a room for some.....the years are between 1869-1939, so they MUST be old and they MUST be baseball. No tall boys, nothing crazy. Think T206's, Goudey's, American Caramels, etc. Let's do this, but I hope everyone is patient.

It is $8.50 per card plus a buck to cover shipping to and from Cali.

Scott L. 11-13-2020 11:52 AM

I'm in for some T206's. Will send you a PM.

Thanks!

Scott

Natedog 11-13-2020 11:53 AM

Hey Bobby, I'm interested. I got about 16 or 17 T206's and other oldies I'd like to get graded.

bobbyw8469 11-13-2020 11:56 AM

Sounds good. They cut me off at 500, so I can't be more than that. Does everyone have the info?

tonyo 11-13-2020 03:09 PM

Hi Bobby, what's the value limit?

Let's say by the end of the month....I don't want to wait forever and a day for stragglers.....

bobbyw8469 11-13-2020 06:16 PM

OK....Here are the details......It is $8.50 per card plus $1 for shipping to and from California.....Include a slip of paper stating the cards, the variations, and the values. Cards MUST BE in Card Saver 1's....No I do no have spares. On the slip of paper, include your return shipping address, and your NET54 handle so I will know how to contact you back. You can send a personal check or venmo or zelle, or paypal f/f. That's pretty much it.

The sub is for 1869-1939 cards. Nothing newer. ONLY Baseball. It is a PSA Quarterly Special.

BuzzD 11-14-2020 11:18 AM

PM sent for 15 cards

I finally gave in and am getting a few cards graded...

Vegas Cards 11-14-2020 12:07 PM

PM sent for six 1911 T201 Double Folders

Thanks!

Natedog 11-14-2020 12:35 PM

T201's?

Are T201's allowed, or are they too big?

Good question, I should have asked first.

Natedog 11-14-2020 01:03 PM

From PSA's website:

"Exclusions: Tallboy, thick/patch and coins/pins, supersized, T3's and autographed cards"

I think anything that wouldn't fit in a regular holder wouldn't qualify, but I could be wrong.

Tyruscobb 11-14-2020 01:03 PM

Hi Bobby,

I have 3 cards I’d like to submit through the group submission you are doing. I know you occasionally have done this, but have never participated. I have two questions.

1. What is the deadline to submit my 3 cards to you?

2. What is the cost for you to ship them back to me after you receive them?

I appreciate you doing this for everyone.

cubman1941 11-14-2020 04:55 PM

tonyo 11-15-2020 07:12 AM

If you have room for 21 more, I send them your way on Tuesday

Whatever the cost of 3 graded PSA cards is...I can't imagine it being more than $5.

Correct....these are the sizes....

Standard - 2 11/16" x 3 13/16

Tall Boys ARE NOT ALLOWED!!! PSA will reject the order. The only cards I am personally subbing are old Goudeys and T206's. I would think the T201's are too big for this special.

cubman1941 11-15-2020 10:24 AM

So my W555 is to small??

BruceinGa 11-15-2020 12:11 PM

Bobby, I have two T206's. I'll ship them mid week.
Thanks!

The-Cardfather 11-18-2020 09:05 AM

Sending 3 cards out in today's mail.

Thanks Bobby.

bobbyw8469 11-19-2020 09:07 AM

Let's lock this down!

BruceinGa 11-19-2020 09:09 AM

I just viewed my tracking info, they're in Raleigh at this moment.

cubman1941 11-19-2020 12:17 PM

Oh lovely....So they will float around town for a few days until they decide to deliver them!

dclarkraiders 11-19-2020 04:11 PM

Mine are in Greensboro. Expected delivery date is today. Thanks again for doing this.

The-Cardfather 11-20-2020 09:21 AM

As of 10:31 PM last night, my package is in Raleigh.

bobbyw8469 11-20-2020 10:56 AM

Picked up 4 today during lunch hour...Havent had time to open them yet. One was Ceritified.

Tyruscobb 11-21-2020 11:02 AM

Just mailed today. Was waiting for a recently purchased card to arrive to add to the submission. Of course, it didn’t arrive.

You will have my package this Wednesday - before the end of the month deadline.

Lovely....

stutor 11-21-2020 02:17 PM

I mailed mine on the 17th. It went from Jackson, MS to Memphis to Nashville to Portland, TN then back to Memphis and now shows it’s back in MS (in Oxford). Good grief. Hopefully it gets there by your deadline...you would think 2 weeks would have been adequate.

BruceinGa 11-21-2020 05:32 PM

Mine were scheduled to be delivered yesterday, Friday. This is what Tracking History shows:
November 21, 2020
In Transit, Arriving Late
Your package will arrive later than expected, but is still on its way. It is currently in transit to the next facility.
I'm hoping it will be delivered Monday.

rhettyeakley 11-22-2020 10:38 AM

Mailed a few cards yesterday that I had been meaning to get graded so they should arrive this coming week.

BruceinGa 12-06-2020 08:25 PM

Bobby, were you able to send in our submission?

bobbyw8469 12-06-2020 08:30 PM

Going out this week....waiting on one straggler.

How long are your submissions taking in general. I sent one in September 7 and was logged October 7 and is currently in grading. They were all Koester bread and one card was even in a pSA 2 slab at one time labled as a Koester and they were calling it a W575-1. I marked it and my Jesse Burkett as W575-1 even though Burkett is only listed in the Koester set, not W575-1.

The last sub took 9 months from start to finish.

bobbyw8469 12-07-2020 04:33 PM

Cards went out today. Registered Mail.

stutor 12-07-2020 04:38 PM

Thank you

Thank you for orchestrating this Bobby.

kmac32 12-07-2020 04:41 PM

Talked to PSA today and on economy they are up to Mid June. Guess it is what it is. My fastball at Cubs camp is faster than that. LOL

bobbyw8469 12-07-2020 04:45 PM

I have given up all hope of rushing PSA along. The last group sub took 9 months....I have 7 orders outstanding. They pop when they pop.

cubman1941 12-07-2020 04:45 PM

Bobby, appreciate the update and appreciate you doing this for us.

bobbyw8469 12-16-2020 12:18 PM

Delivered today....of course not logged in...maybe in two months.

Natedog 12-16-2020 04:03 PM

Awesome! Thanks again for doing this Bobby.
