Are Tua Tagovailoa's cards as desirable if his name was Brian Johnson?

Are Wander Franco's cards as desirable if his name was Tom Franco?

Are LeMelo Ball's cards as desirable if his name was Steven Ball?

Considering equal chase is sent after cards of Trevor Lawrence, Bobby Witt, Zach Wilson, and Scottie Barnes - I'll go with probably.

I would agree. Why else would anyone want a card of a guy named Mike Trout.

I don’t think the speculator break room type guys are the same demographic that is out chasing Mike Trout rookie cards.

I think for younger collectors/investors there is much more of a premium on the hipness factor removed from actual achievement. Hell, Trevor Lawrence had a SET of cards last year that as far as I could tell was intended to highlight his cool surfer dude hair. No one is looking to put out a box of Daniel Jones cards.

Daniel Jones is also not good so that could be a factor.

Daniel Jones was also a two star recruit, 19-20 as a starter in college for Duke, never passed for 3,000 yards in college, a reach at 6th overall, and average in two seasons in New York.

Lawrence was a consensus 5 star, the Gatorade and AP High School player of the year, 34-2 in college, National Champion, regarded as best college QB prospect since Andrew Luck for the last three years. He could look like, smell like, act like, and be named after Joe Dirt and he’d still have the most desired rookies in the market right now.

Yeah I mean when I think of the most valuable football cards there are, I think of a guy named Tom Brady, who also has almost no discernable personality. Not sure there's much in a name.

Milton Bradley

Sometimes the guy with the cool name goes on to do nothing.
