Posted By: <b>Steven</b><p>I just recently got back in the hobby for the first time since my youth and after blowing some money early and often I found it just ridiculous to blow a $100 on a pack just to pull a Chase Utley Auto or Nolan Ryan gu. Yeah the chance to pull something huge is there but just not reliable. So last month I settled on working on the monster for once and I'm rolling on at a medium pace. I'm up to seven now, with three more in the mail. Nothing special, just several commons and a Joss. What I am wondering is has anyone here had problems with buying raw t206's only to find out they were repo's? Every dealer I've bought from seems reputable, but you just never know. Right now I'm buying graded and ungraded, but if anyone thinks buying raw off ebay even when it's guaranteed authentic and original is unwise just let me know.

Trust your eyes a lot more then you trust a seller saying the cards are legit. Posted By: <b>Jim VB</b><p>I think you can usually tell the difference on reproductions if you know what to look for. Trimmed is a bigger risk on raw cards. <br /><br />Pick a price point and promise yourself that anything over that will either be graded or from a seller you know and trust.

Posted By: <b>T206Collector</b><p>...are fairly easy to spot, if you concentrate on the font on the front. Trust SGC, PSA, BVG and GAI in terms of finding authentic ones. Once you get a feel for what they look like, just compare them. If the price is too good to be true, it probably is.
