Antiques Roadshow 2/17

Did anyone else see the DiMaggio D29 bat from a week ago? The guy said he got it in a telephone auction in 1976. He said he tied for high bid with another guy at $130. I think they mailed in their bids. So, the "auction house" gets them both on a conference call. The guy on the show goes to $140; the other guy goes to $145; the guy on the show goes $147 and the other guy says, "That's too rich for me." Grant Z. appraised it at $80K! :D

Last night, this Seals Stadium sign appeared in the background. This sign has been discussed here as to its "genuineness." I wonder what the AR appraiser thought...

Then he must know the marketplace a lot better than the history when it comes to baseball, at least!
