Lineup Card Authenticity and Value Help Please

Hey Guys,

Would love some help on this if anyone has a good feel for these.

My buddy wants to buy this and asked me what it's worth. I have no idea but I told him I would try to find out.

Does it look good? And approx value?

Thanks in advance!

Luke

I'd guess the value at $25-$40; these are somewhat plentiful in the hobby

Luke,
I would estimate the value to perhaps be a bit higher to the right collector.
Specifically, a Griffey Jr. collector.
Ken Griffey, Jr. hit his 22nd HR out of 56 in 1998.
In 1997 and 1998 hit 56 HR's in back-to back years.
Although 1997 was essentially Griffey's peak performance year (BA, HR's and RBI's), 1998 was his 2nd best career year.
Also note that Lou Pinella was the Manager and a younger Alex Rodriguez plays in this game.

Value to me if I am a Griffey Jr. collector? Perhaps $50-$75
One thing to note is that not everyone collects lineup cards, even though they are really cool collectibles.

I hope this helps. Jeff Lazarus on net54 collects lineup cards as a specialty.
Perhaps he could weigh in as well...

I'm not going to comment on the value of this particular lineup card, since it's one that I own, but can provide info on the recent Griffey lineup cards to sell.

Griffey lineup cards from his Seattle days sell very well. Here (the picture) is the most recent sale that I know of. It's a game that Griffey did nothing of significance, Arod did not play, and it's a carbon copy (so it's not the ink copy, and the Piniella autograph is not in pen.)

A Griffey HR lineup from his days on the White Sox sold for $246 at Goldin not long ago (with tax and shipping from an auction house that's prob around $280 or so total). For some, the late-career HR is cool, but from what I have seen, I think in general people favor his earlier Mariners items.

Here is the link to the Goldin auction:
