Posted By: Jeff Obermeyer
I have a 1911 T212 Obak Weaver that I unfortunately need to part with. Here are links to 300 dpi scans of the front and back:

The card measures 1 7/16" by 2 5/8". You may notice that the width is 1/16" different than what is listed in all the major guides... width does vary on this issue. My other Obaks are all between 1 7/16" and 1 1/2" wide. I emailed Mark Macrae about this card (I bought it from him at auction about 8 years ago) and he confirms the measurements based on his experience... Obaks vary slightly in width in this range.

Condition of this card is FAIR in my estimation... there are two major creases at the top, and a wrinkle that runs half the width of the card in the middle. All four corners show some wear, and there is an indentation along the left border between the two creases. The back is free of damage other than the creases listed above. There is no significant paper loss. If PSA graded it, it would likely receive a "1", certainly no more than a "2".

My original intent was to list this card on eBay on Sunday, though I would rather sell it here so I don't have to pay the fees. I am leaving it open to offers from anyone interested - if I get something I like, I'll sell it. Otherwise, it'll go on eBay on Sunday. Buyer will be responsible for insured, certified shipping, so please consider this when you make your offer. As for returns, while I don't feel this card is trimmed, I cannot guarantee that this is the case due to the size. Refunds will only be offered if the card is proven to be a reproduction, NOT because any grading company won't slab it. Please consider this fully before making an offer.

If you want additional info or scans, please let me know.

Payment will be in the form of money order only. Feel free to check my ebay feedback under the ID "seattlehockey".

Jeff

Posted By: Jason
I currently have a large group of t205 and t206s that I want to move out as an entire group. The total high Standard value (nrmt)is over $27,000. Most of the HOFers are graded by SGC or GAI. The entire lot ranges from P with good eye appeal to VGEX. Overall I would say G+ to VG. I really need $6K and will ship at that price. Please let me know if there are any low grade lot buyers out there. About 10-15 of the t206 commons due show slight evidence of possible trimming. The rest are fine. Email me at dduncanvintage@aol.com if interested or I can be reached at 816-294-9847. Keys include Cy Young POR, t205 Matty GAI 3 (no wrinkles looks better!)

Posted By: Jason
Because I buy on % of high standard. I dont buy on SMR, beckett monthly or anything else. Also VG commons in t206s bring about $30 on ebay and the book in the vg column in the standard at $15 or 15% as Scott put it. So I usually take the current market into consideration as well. Too many times do I see alot of peaople trying to pass of G creased cards as VG and cards with rounded corners as VGEX so I try to grade conservatively.

Let’s say that this lot includes 10 card: five are in EX+ and 5 are in fair/good condition. If the HOFers are in fair condition and the commons are in EX+ the value would actually be a lot less than $4,200 even if the lot's NM book is $27,000 and the average condition is VG.
Posted By: Jeff Kennedy
I have a 1912 T207 George "Buck" Weaver for sale if anyone is interested. It has been graded an SGC 40 VG, although the card presents a hell of alot better then that. The card overall is EX-MT in regards to the corners, centering, surface, etc. The only problem being a very light 1/2 inch wrinkle that is just visible on the front of the card. The wrinkle does'nt proceed through to the back and is only visible on the front because of the glossy/lacquer finish. Even at that, you have to look very hard to actually see it. It has an anonymous back and I am asking $1,250.00 for it. Scans can be provided on request. Email me at AKABarneyFife@aol.com
