Question for Mr. Binder

Posted By: Sam Aker
As the other thread really should be about the question asked by Dave F.

Bobby -
In reference to http://www.network54.com/Forum/153652/thread/1172496276/

You posted a log of a user account.
The user logged in with an AOL IP
Your screenshot showed that user logging in with the same IP over several months, even though AOL hands out different IPS.

Did you post any fraudulent information? If not, how do you account for the discrepancy?

Posted By: barrysloate
We could play "hangman" until somebody guesses the name.

I was told who it is in confidence and I never heard of him, which is probably just as well.

Edited to say I meant SK, not Sam Aker.

Question for Mr. Binder

Posted By: leon
I am not sure I can tell who "SAM" is, exactly. I can say the IP addresses were from GA and FL.....and one that routed through KY.....The fact that someone won't call me speaks volumes. Anyone not willing to call me, with respect to this kind of situation, will not be allowed to post. It's a very, very easy call for me. I actually have other work I need to do but this is important. It would have been handled last night but it got to be too late. If you care to post or not is totally your call and I hope you do keep posting...as I hope everybody, except "sam", does....take care

Question for Mr. Binder

Posted By: Bobby Binder
Gentlemen,

Glad you are having fun with this but this person has been calling me a THIEF and LIAR for the past few days. I was polite and asked on several occasions to PLEASE STOP.

Through Leon we figured it out together who this individual is and I am giving him some time to make a public apology. If he does not in the next hour or so will post more evidence to the facts.

And no the person is not S.K.

Question for Mr. Binder

Posted By: Dan Bretta
Heh....I would Barry, but I'm making a concerted effort to not go off topic for a while. I still want to know who SK is - I'm guessing the first name is Steve? And I figured out the Sam part - I had no idea the spreadsheet thread had gone haywire. I never even clicked on it as it seemed a little boring, but I should have figured once a spreadsheet thread gets over 50 posts something is going on....I usually wait for a thread to hit 100 before popping some corn.

Question for Mr. Binder

Posted By: Bobby Binder
Since it has been almost 2 hours and he has yet to come forward with a public apology here is some more for you to digest.

Sam posted several times with this IP address 70.222.25 Using a tracker
http://www.ip-adress.com/ you need to enter the IP address otherwise it shows your own.

The post was made from Ft. Lauderdale, FL. just so happens the Hawaii Trade Conference where F+W Publications has seminars for the Card hobby. On this link http://www.hawaiitradeconference.com/attendees.asp?sort=lname&order=ASC&page=3

is the suspect is shown as an attendee. This is how he posted from Florida then Georgia.

Question for Mr. Binder

Posted By: Bill
Being a lurker the majority of the time, as I learn from many on here, I can't help but wonder how in the world you keep your sanity moderating this forum? This board is great, but when things get crazy, they get CRAZY! Anyway, I love the board. I'll keep it in my favorites file and it had better still be here when I get back from deployment!

Change your socks, drink water, and drive on.

Question for Mr. Binder

Posted By: ErlandStevens
I was the one who brought S.K. into this thread. I was joking around because of all the mystery in the first couple posts. I just threw out the initials based on the innuendos from the Memory Lane thread. For all I know, Hal is correct that S.K. stands for Silver King (or maybe Sky King!). I'm sorry for mixing the topics.

Erland

Posted By: Dave F
One question Bobby....you say the IP addresses are GA and Fla...can you elaborate on what time which was from which state?

Archive 04-24-2007 03:53 PM

Question for Mr. Binder

Posted By: leon
As stated before I don't mind giving out IP addresses in cases like this. You would need to go see when "sam" posted to see the times.....I don't really feel like going back and getting the exact time of each post, relative to the roaming IP it was with. I don't think it's pertinent in this case but if it gets that way I will. I will do everything I can to keep the integrity of the board...which means making people be known when they should be. We already saw "sam" leave, so to me, he wasn't "sam". He was someone else.....

Question for Mr. Binder

Posted By: Dave F
The only reason I was asking unless I did something wrong was I just saw it linked to Fort Lauderdale, not Georgia. Just curious....doesn't matter though. I'm about to go eat dinner and by the time I get back at 10EST or so i'm sure this will have already exploded.
