Pollack Chicago sports rings ?
Anyone familiar with Pollack Chicago and sports rings they made? They were a pre and post WWII jewelry company that I believe ceased operation sometime in 70s. I have a University of North Dakota Hockey 1959 National Championship ring which is stamped with their manufacturers mark and 10k. Pics attached. Any help would be appreciated. I obtained said ring directly from a player on the 1959 Championship team. Based on accounts of surviving players nearly are were lost over the years. Apparently in the 60s guys wore them a lot more as compared to today's players, thus water or misplacing got the best of many.

All I can say is that is a hell of a nice piece despite being a Sioux item. Go gophers!

Here's the UND ring story

I have no idea, but just wanted to say, what a great item!

Thx for the kind words. Yes I truly hit gold on this one. I was actually searching for a vintage type Sioux jersey and when the story or the ring came about it just fascinated me. Had to have it. In fact the story took a couple twists and turns many historians of the program were unaware of. Moreover, the evolution of NCAA rings, in various sports; such as football, hockey and baseball is very interesting. Rings around this time period of the 50s-60s is unknown and the generation of men who earned them in their respective sport is becoming lost to time. The ring I have may very well be the first ever NCAA hockey national championship ring. Either way, fun to research and carry forward the history.
