Bill Russell on Netflix

Anyone watch the new documentary "Bill Russell the Legend" on Netflix? I watched episode 1 yesterday, great so far, episode 2 today maybe after NASCAR at Daytona and my wife goes to bed!

Got it on my Watch List.

Dave I think you will really enjoy it. What's a thread without a picture.

I thought it was amazing and the interviews put his story over the top and had some other great stories as it relates to him and Wilt and Cousey and so much more.
Very enjoyable and one of the few times I wish there were more episodes on a show like that

My wife and I really enjoyed. It was really well done. There was one small detail that really stood out for me. Several interviewees described his laugh as a cackle. I noticed that whenever there was video of Russell laughing, the subtitles said [cackles] rather than [laughs]

I enjoyed it too. Especially, the details of his relationship with Wilt.

His laugh was infectious.

Here's a more appropriate one for the thread:

Trade you - even Steven and I won't complain at all!

He only had 5 cards during his career, and two are almost nonexistent. Compare that to Lebron.

great card and that pose truly captures him and his manners. Intense and thoughtful and competitive

I watched part II last night. One of the finest documentaries I have watched on Netflix - job well done. I actually learned a lot from the series, especially about the Celtics during that period.

Good stuff. Didn't know about his on again, off again friendship with Wilt. Also didn't realize how many Game 7's the Celtics pulled off last minute during their incredible run of titles, nor how many times Wilt almooooooost pulled off a playoff series win against the Celtics...but not quite.

Wilt's career would be framed in an entirely different manner if it wasn't for a 4th quarter here, and a 4th quarter there, against Russell and the Celts.

One was Havlicek's steal. The last one, Wilt was injured towards the end of the game and if you watch the film that's the only reason the Celtics won IMO.
