1947 Exhibits Whitey Ford - Postcard Back?
2 Attachment(s)
I picked up this Whitey Ford Exhibits card, but it has a back I haven't seen before.
Is the "Postcard" verbiage original to the card or was it possibly added later? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Travis |
Pretty sure the card and the stamped postcard back are both counterfeit.

Front is most certainly one of the repro/reprints.
Never saw that type of PC back on an Exhibit before. But the fact that the card is not original tells you all you need to know |
AT The Bottom : ?
...what does the printing say at the bottom ,and is it on the left or right ?...is it crisp and legible ?...Somebody went to a lot of trouble for this curiosity.....

Postcard
The whole shebang looks bad ..... grainy front and a weak attempt at an old looking back. Not a very convincing fake.

Bootleg :)

There are a variety of 'aftermarket' PC backs and advertising backs made of Exhibits in the postwar period. Some are rare and valuable, others not. This one looks like a reprint with a PC printing on the back. Interesting but not valuable, or as they say on Antiques Road Show "decorative value only".
Oh, and a card: https://photos.imageevent.com/exhibi...20Back%201.jpg This is one of the aftermarket valuable backs. |
