I think the statue is outstanding. And Koufax is aging gracefully.

Statue
Two thumbs up. Sandy was a bad man on that mound! Trent King

It's great.

Statue is awesome and Sandy looked and sounded great at the ceremony. Classy guy.

Don't rag on me, please, but it's gotta be said. The pitching moment captured in the statue is really low, like squished down to the ground low. Too bad he wasn't higher up in more of an awe-inspiring hurling pose. When you look with reverence at a cathedral, you look up towards the heavens, not down towards the muddy earth.

Yeah, I know it's realistic and all, but I would've chosen a moment where he was standing taller. The sculptor could've cheated and had him more fully atop a realistic mound, to give it some additional height, instead of semi-flat earthing Sandy. Oh well, my opinion matters not. If Dodgers fans are loving it, then good for them!!

I've seen the Tom Seaver one now at Citifield and have to say I like Koufax better.

Awesome looking statute.

Great Looking Statue, Great Pitcher, and a Great Ambassador to the Game

Love the action captured and it's a big "like" from me.
Bonus points for the jacket at the unveiling as well. |
Guy has been living right. Age 86 and looks sharp and I assume is mentally and physically in a great place. I'd sign on to that tomorrow.
