Maybe I am the first one to buy something this month :).
I have been a fan of Van The Man for a long, long time. At this point in time he is my favorite musical performer. I just got this off the bay. Great song line inscription with his autograph. "I can hear her heartbeat from a thousand miles" from Crazy Love. |
Actually, he wrote "I can hear hear her heartbeat from a thousand miles."
Here's mine. A concert ticket signed by Van's original group, "Them." http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j2...psperscpjg.jpg |
WOW! Those are some of the nicest Vans I have ever seen!!!
And David, wow unreal. Just simply unreal. That is quite a piece of history for both. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Cool pick up
|
Cool Van Morrison graphs. Like him but he's not my favorite songwriter (that would be Brian Wilson.)
|
Really excited to add 3 more to my 1934 Goudey set. It's been a year since the last additions.
I am now at 79/96. If anyone has any PLMK. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...20Cochrane.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...7%20Vosmik.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...81%20Brown.jpg |

Another off the list, Clark Griffith, 1928 contract.

Couldn't help myself.
Attachment 220586 Kershaw is a Gold refractor numbered to 50. So undervalued, especially how he started his career. He could end up being one of the greatest, if not the greatest lefty of all time, barring he keeps his consistency and stays healthy. Great human being off the field as well. Great pickups. 100% agree about the Kershaw, that Gold is bound to skyrocket.

Wow! Great pick up Mark! Those are amazing!
|
Thanks Gary.
Mike, That is fantastic. I have been waiting to find a decent one of his that wasn't ridiculously expensive and was good for matting with my Apollo 11 type 1. Great job. |
Anyone interested watch the B/S/T. It will be there shortly. Just got word from Richard Simon...his COA for the entire ball is on its way. The Ruth (and the rest) is good!!
1920 Babe Ruth with others including Lefty O'Doul, Fred Hofmann, Carl Mays, Herb Thormahlen and what looks to me to be Jeff Tesreau. http://i792.photobucket.com/albums/y...psgc4mhtgt.jpg http://i792.photobucket.com/albums/y...ps1nybf2ai.jpg http://i792.photobucket.com/albums/y...psutf56lcu.jpg http://i792.photobucket.com/albums/y...ps8kukxild.jpg Tom C |

HOF Ted Lyons 1929 hand written fan letter
1 Attachment(s)
I couldn't pass up the opportunity to acquire this HOF Ted Lyons hand written and signed 1929 fan letter. It's coming by way of net54's own, Jim Stinson.
It certainly has to be one of the earliest known Ted Lyons letters and examples of his signature in the hobby. Ted Lyons pitched a no-hitter against the Boston Red Sox on August 21, 1926 at Fenway Park. |
I've got quite a collection of the 1988 Notre Dame national champion football team. Pretty stoked to add to it the Leprechaun and the cheerleaders from that year. ;) (Yes, I've got a problem LOL)

An absolute monstrous upgrade for me. My other is an SGC 4.5 I believe which I'll be listing soon.
Attachment 221295 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Added this one for my Presidential signed rookie card collection. Don't know if it is his first card, but it was issued during his term (signed later) and the only one I've seen of him playing ball.

George "Rube" Foster signed Christmas card
2 Attachment(s)
5'7" 170 lb. BoSox hurler George "Rube" Foster made history on June 21, 1916 when he hurled the first ever no-hitter at historic Fenway Park against the visiting Yankees, defeating them 2-0.
Rube's pitching teammates included a young Babe Ruth (a LHP at the time), Ernie Shore of the Ruth/Shore imperfect perfect game, HB "Dutch" Leonard and Smoky Joe Wood. Ironically, every one of these Boston Red Sox hurlers would make history by pitching a no-hitter while in Boston. Because of George Foster's death date (1976) his signature is somewhat scarce in of itself. A signed Christmas card is scarce indeed. I'm happy to add his to my collection of no-hit pitcher Christmas cards. |
