REA October - 1984 Mattingly Donruss

This has a week to go. It is at $1550 right now. Gem Mint 10. I get it. Should I go and grade my 12 Mattinglys now? LOL.

I think my question is: how the heck do you get a 10 from a grading company?

Click the buttons under each grade. But those are their "published" standards and do not guarantee that if your cards meet those conditions, your card will be properly awarded the grade.
But the four main parts of a grade for PSA are: Corners 1st, then Surface, then Edges, then Centering. At least as far as I've seen them grade. (And presuming they actually do it right and don't accidentally give out PSA 7s for cards with pinholes...or PSA 10s for Joe Montana rookies that are 70/30 off-centered)

john covered it as usual. it's a crapshoot. i'll say that i submitted 20+ cards last winter and just got them back. i'm an amateur at best when it comes to grades and only sent in cards that appeared to me to cover the 4 key things john noted. and my grades came back very high, which was honestly shocking.

good luck - hopefully PSA will open up lower level bulk again early in 2022.
