Hanna Batrite Joe Jackson model

Hello, i would like to show my bat to the community and get your opinions on it. The bat is 35” long and looks like a “J” was stamped under it. Its 41.84 oz and shows heavy use. It is an STA Model No.75 which i believe is the Joe Jackson model. It’s a Georgia Driver, Steel Tempered and has a type of treatment on the handle which i’ve never seen. The grip on the handle is like a thin film of cork. Not sure if it was added later on. It has a grain count of 6 and has the patent stamp on the top of the barrel. I’ve never seen an STA, only pictures of the WTA,TA,AA and A models. I would like to know what the STA means, could it be a barnstorming bat? Did Hanna offer cork style grips? I attached some pictures, hopefully I did it correct. Also in one of the pictures is a Louisville Slugger, blank barrel. It is side written 39 oz Bob O’Farrell 5-30-2?, looks like a 6. It is not broken and shows heavy game use. I currently don’t have a picture of the “cork” grip, i’ll post one later on. Thank you

Oh, that is AWESOME.

STA = maybe Steel Tempered Ash?

Thank you for responding, that makes sense. I was thinking Special Temper Ash, but i like your idea better. Any opinions on store model or for professional use.

I am no expert, and there are some guys on here who will know much more.

I am told that lots of Hanna bats are both retail and pro models, so it is very difficult to tell.
I believe the patent stamp was from 1930, so this must be later than that?

Obviously, Shoeless Joe wasn't playing in the MLB then, but did he use it in some nameless league? I have no idea. I think with a bat like that, it would be pretty difficult to establish provenance without a photo or something.

But I think there are some guys on here who can give you way more good information than I can.

I think that is an incredible bat! I have never seen one before, so I think they are pretty rare?

Can you post picture of entire length of bat and the grip

I added a couple of the handle and the length. Also added a couple more i have. The E 35 is 36”, hand turned and heavy use, I know it’s the Ty Cobb model. I have seen a similar one but mine is blank barrel. I don’t know who TA Model No.84 is, that one shows heavy use also.
