1991 Score Lee Guetterman (Gold)

Was digging for a different card and ran into this guy. I got it several years back, but I don't recall now where. Likely ebay, but it could have been a local shop pick up too. I believe it is an exact replica of his regular Score card, but in a gold colored metal. I am not sure what the metal is though. The card is heavy too. The only marking that you wouldn't find on the Score card that I noticed is a very tiny Linmar Limited in the rear corner. I tried to google that yesterday and it didn't really provide much of a lead.

Its actually pretty cool, other than it's Lee Guetterman! There has to be an explanation as to why he is the subject. Maybe he worked for Linmar Limited?

has anyone seen one like it before or even a different player?

They appear to have been a Texas corporation which existed from 1991-1997.

President was Craig R. Maurer

They don't appear to have any officially licensed products other than gold replica tickets "UltraGold", for a few Super Bowls from those years.

Did see a replica ticket for the first Colorado Rockies game as well - so perhaps more on the MLB ticket side?

I imagine the Guetterman card is some sort of prototype they were using to pitch the idea of some sort of parallel product to Score (e.g. like the porcelain cards that were done for Topps) which was rejected and it comes from someone at Linnar or someone who was pitched the idea at Score.

I did see the Texas Corp and the 1991 date when I googled it and though that would be a good start. I didn't get to the gold ticket part though, so thank you for that.

Still thinking Guetterman had some connection, even if it was just by someone who knew him or was a fan. Maybe he was an investor even? Seems like an odd choice for a prototype/promo, but they are not always stars.

An ebay search for Linmar brought up 2 Honus Wagner cards:
