T206 Green Cobb vs Goudey Ruth #53
Curious on thoughts with these two cards from an ROI standpoint in the future. They both are obviously good investments, both are very liquid and perhaps the top two pre-war cards to own or at least in the top 5-10. That being said, if you could have just one or multiples of one which one would you rather have and why?

I have a green Cobb. I don't have a Goudey Ruth, but I would like one. I think Ruth has a larger base of potential buyers...Rob

They're both iconic cards, you can't go wrong with either one ( I own a Cobb but not a Ruth). The Cobb green has gone up quite a bit in the last few years. If I had to guess, I would say the Ruth has more room to increase.

I don’t think you could go wrong with either, but Ruth is and always will be #1.

ROI is strictly dependent on what the indivdual pays and what one sells for a card. Overpaying for a "good investment" usually makes it a bad investment

Probably not getting any deals on either one anymore. My advice is buy them both now for prices you can afford. You certainly won't get hurt later.

revisiting this thread I started. Over the last few months the Ruth is in a commanding lead and has seen the biggest gains. Now the question is will this trend continue or is the cobb inline for another bump up? Or would another Cobb card like the CJ Cobb be the card that increases more in the future over the green cobb?

I own two Ruth cards. I have zero Cobb. Would love a green Cobb to go with a Green Ruth. I have thought about letting go of either one to land a Cobb, but have not been able to offer it up just yet.

My budget pairing. Wish I'd gone after the Goudey version instead but I'm still happy with what I've got:
