Cubs Pennant

Has anyone ever seen this particular Cubs pennant before? It is currently on ebay.

Looks like the seller removed it. Perhaps someone got to him early

It appeared to be completely authentic and in nice shape. I've never seen that one before (and have seen many over the years!) So it's gotta be quite rare...

Never seen anything close to that before. I'm sure the seller received a BIN they couldn't refuse...I wish it had been from me;)

Originally there were 4 or 5 pieced photos of it when he first listed it. I had asked him to post a full one. Guess he thought it was easier to start a new auction. First listing also started at 9.99 . Mike

I suspect the seller got a BIN offer of $650. Re-listing it at that price will test the person who made the offer as to whether they will go higher, and if there is an up-side from other bidders, he will get that.

I have never seen this version-however I wouldn't go that high on it, expecially so close to National...........

I agree... I know the year is significant, but the graphics are anything but spectacular. I'm just not a fan of these generic-style pennants, and the close-up photos show there's a pretty decent rip in the felt as well.

I would also hold out for the National, and think the seller will be rather lucky to get anything much more than the $650 for this one. It would have been a pretty nice buy at $350-$400 or so...

1929 Cubs pennant

I think that was a very good deal on that pennant. It was generic, but beggers can't be choosers when it comes to something like that. If I wanted that for my personal collection, I would have paid up to at least $1000. I think the buyer got a great deal. I have had one other from 1929 that was smaller and sold it for more than that.
