Ebay listings cancelled

Posted By: leon
I just had my 5 ebay listings cancelled due to having "luckeycards.com" at the end of my short descriptions. The auctions WILL be going back up by this weekend, with those and EVEN BETTER STUFF, being listed. I wish ebay policed fraudulent listings as much as minor violations. Since I saw other people have full fledged external websites listed I didn't think it was a big deal. Sorry for the inconvenience this might have caused.....Flea Bay is a bunch a BS sometimes..That's why I have been using it less and less to sell.....best regards

btw, they might have done me a favor since I didn't realize, last week when I posted them, that they were ending on Memorial Day weekend. I think this might have been a blessing in disguise....so I guess I should be thankful

Posted By: Seth B.
I was following one of those, and I just thought you got a good offer. That's ridiculous, Leon, especially because I saw you removed the listed cards from your website listings. What's the problem here, ebay?

Posted By: Josh Adams
Leon,
I find that puzzling that your listings were cancelled for that reason, yet there are some dealers who have their website as their Ebay ID. What is the difference?

Go Go White Sox
2005 World Series Champions!

Posted By: davidcycleback
Ending auctions due to website links is standard for eBay. If you make an 'about me' page I think you can get away with a link there.

Posted By: FYS
Leon,

eBay does not police the auctions, until someone reports a breach of rules to eBay. They are then forced to close the auction down, once a rule violations is brought to their attention and confirmed. It is humorous that someone took the time to e-mail eBay to inform them that you have a web address link in your auction.

Somebody already mentioned it, but you can legally put your links on your About Me page.

Mike
