Signed 1914 1915 Original Cracker Jacks

3 Attachment(s)
I have always admired the signed pre war stuff I see from time to time, mostly T-206 but I was wondering if anyone knew of any signed Cracker Jack cards.

From what I can find REA had 2 in 2018 a Roush and a Joe Wood. Hakes just sold a far nicer Wood. All were 1915 and conditions varied greatly. All were also in PSA holders.

Anyone know of or seen any others?

this Hake's auction was first I'd seen of one, was very intrigued by it. PSA has no 14's in the pop, and Artie Hoffman and Ed Rousch pairing the 2 Wood's.

did you get the Hake's one?

Nice post and awesome examples, I wasn't even aware there were any signed CJ's.

I own two, including this 1914 CJ Marquard.

PSA has three 1914 CJs with Autos Artie Hoffman (#27603961), Joe Wood (recently graded), and Rube Marquard (#43263019)

Nice to see some old compadres. Nothing better than a signed CJ in my humble opinion.

I have the 1915 CJ of Hofman. You will note the cert is immediately before the #27603961 noted above. They arrived at Love of the Game Auctions as a pair:

Not to hijack the thread, but figured I'd put the question out there since they'd be extremely rare like the signed CJ's.......has anyone ever seen or heard of a signed Turkey Red T3? I love the early signed cards, as well.

Somewhat strangely, none seem to exist. Feel free to peruse the images and research into signed prewar cards on my website.

We have sold three. The two Hoffmans came out of the same collection, an original owner collection that was assembled (if I recall) in the Dakotas and came to us as part of an inheritance collection. We sold the Wood in 2021.

I'm aware of a Marquard that I'd love to feature in our auction someday, but I think the collector really likes it a lot (for good reason!).

There are 2 in the pop.report, but I imagine they are improperly labeled. I seem to remember seeing a raw one, but could be imaging it

Leon owns a T3 of another player with a hand printed, initialled note which I identified years ago as being from the pen of Chief Meyers. So, in some backward form, a signed T3 does exist.

Was that a T3 or an M110?

So wait a sec you have 2 signed Marquards?

Looks like the list is this

1914
Artie Hofman
Marquard
Jow Wood

1915
Artie Hofman
Joe Wood x2
Ed Roush
Marquard

So the only ones not pictured here are the 14 Wood and the 15 Marquard. Does that about sum it up. Anyone care to add the last two or have any others?

There are also Harry Hooper and Amos Strunk signed CJs. Again, my website has images of the known signed fronts of CJs -- I do not post duplicate fronts usually. And though I know who owns the 1914 CJ Wood, because it was previously mine, he can post it here if he wants.

I have the signed 14 Wood. I pay close attention to the 14s and don't know of any besides those 3.
