Today’s acquisition - 1896 Spalding H818

Hi all! Just wanted to share this little gem that I acquired today. It was horribly glued to a scrapbook page and framed, and someone in the past attempted to rip it from the page leaving virtually all of the rear writing glued to the page. It was barely hanging on, so I made the decision to separate it. I think the eye appear is still tremendous.

Quite a save. It's great looking. Very nice, sir!

You should be please. 125 years old and looking good.

What is you plan with it? How do you plan to protect it or display it?

Right now it’s resting comfortably in a top loader along with some T205’s and T206’s.

After that, it’s headed to SGC to be slabbed.

Those are neat items. I had the complete set from Victorian scrap album.

Very cool!

I’m not going to actively hunt the other 4, but if I spot them I’ll certainly try to pick them up.

Smart move and I agree getting it slabbed.

Nice piece
