Any idea what this is - Sort of an oversized Football Postcard

Posted By: Keith
Hey guys,
I picked this up yesterday at an estate auction, and just am not exactly sure what it is. It reminds me of the Christy turn of the century postcards, but this one is a lot larger than a postcard. It measures 10 inches by 7 inches, and is on a slightly thicker stock paper than a postcard would be. It pictures some University of Pennsylvania fans, a football shaped photo of a Penn game in progress, and a small photo of College Hall on Penn's Campus. Is this just something that was sold as decorative item?

Also, any idea on age - I thought maybe dating between 1895-1905, probably leaning towards the early 1900's.

Posted By: davidcycleback
It was probably a memento print to be displayed or put in the scrapbook. There were various mementos from college teams. I like it and haven't seen another. The flags almost look hand covered. I would guess it was very early 1900s, ala 1900-5.

Posted By: Keith
Thanks guys; I will probably end up putting this on ebay someday, and just didn't know what to call it since I hadn't seen one before.
