I can't find anything to avoid this fee (like bulk submission or Collectors Club). If I'm missing something please let me know.

Fees reportedly are coming down very soon.

Ok, thanks. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.

Dec 1 you can pay $75. Based on the volume they are getting at $150 I hope you are not in a hurry. There are hundreds of guys out there waiting to submit their $100 cards (if they came back as 10s) at $150 so they are all gonna jump all over the $75 per card.

I saw an interesting report that cards being submitted from Japan only cost $30 or so at PSA. So you could send them to Japan first... ;-)

For all you in it for the money guys...why bother and pay for the privilege of submitting your cards to be sealed in plastic with a bar code? You have a free service right here on this forum. If someone put up a fake or altered or trimmed or whatever, it would be figured out by the many experts here in no time. That being the case, there must not be much that gets through the AH or eBay. I am not being facetious. So why bother?

Curious where did you read/hear the exact date and price?

Email I received --10day service--Dec 1st--90.00 + shipping fees per card through preferred dealer or 100.00 + shipping fees without using a preferred dealer.

So as of today we should be able to submit cards on our own for $100?

butchie_t 12-01-2021 10:09 AM

Not according to their price lists currently on their site. Prices have not change as of yet.

Well, I like to get my cards graded by SGC because I like the way they look and display in the case. That, and when the day comes where I kick the bucket, my family will have some semblance of an idea as to what they are looking at and dealing with should they decide to sell. I can guarantee none of them know about or would know how to find this forum.

shagrotn77 12-01-2021 04:05 PM

Fake news?

pherbener 12-01-2021 04:14 PM

I have about 50 cards I was considering sending to SCG although I was told that they are not grading exhibit size cards yet. Has anyone had any dealings with them? I figured, given the history of comic grading, it's a good alternative at this point.

Apologies for missing this. Nat Turner had sent a tweet in the middle of Nov stating that the $75 service would return in two weeks. Long thread on blowout about it.
