Seller

I have bought and sold with Pete for years privately via Net54. Not on the site lately.

ZiggerZagger 12-11-2017 07:58 PM

One of the good ones. The really good ones, even.

Kenny Cole 12-11-2017 08:13 PM

Bought a card from him a week or so ago. Not the first one. No issues, ever.

vintagebaseballcardguy 12-11-2017 08:15 PM

Thanks, guys. I have seen Peek Enterprises on ebay and have seen that name every once in a while here. Didn't realize it was the same person.

I've bought several items from Pete starting in about 2010. After our first deal, he took the time to give me a lot of tips, and he is the person who referred me to N54. Shortly after, he gave me leads to help me acquire a couple cards he knew I'd been looking for. Based on my dealings with him, he's a great seller and a great guy.

I think he's PEEK Enterprises on the board. He's got at least 2x ebay accounts, PEEK, and ppgustafson.

Bicem 12-11-2017 08:56 PM

Pete's great!

charlietheexterminator 12-11-2017 09:31 PM

I have done many big dollar deals with Pete, never a problem.

DeanH3 12-11-2017 10:47 PM

Same here. Bought from him multiple times and never an issue.

JohnnyFinance7 12-11-2017 11:05 PM

I've bought from him as well. Great customer service and have had no issues.

Bought several items from Pete also. Always an easy transaction and a pleasure to deal with.

If you lost your wallet with 250.00 in it.... Pete would return it to you with 300.00 inside. :)

Lots of buys, sells, and trades with PEEK. Easy to deal with.

All good things on Pete...plus he's a Michigan State grad...can't beat that.

KingFisk 12-12-2017 09:29 AM

Does he usually give discounts on his ebay prices? He has so many cards up that I am after but I've had no luck with best offers on ebay.

I sold a card to him,

and apparently I had it underpriced, so he paid me extra. In other words, a good guy.

Donscards 12-12-2017 10:17 AM

I buy from Pete and sell to him. He has purchased some large deals from me and always a good transaction. Also purchased from him off eBay.

BruceinGa 12-12-2017 11:09 AM

Never had any problems!!

Damn Toby !! An extra $50 ? Hmmmm !! Lol

Pete's a great guy. Very ethical. He's always glad to work off-ebay when possible...and make sure that the buyer makes out better doing it that way.

Thanks Pete!

Can someone send me his email? Seems he hasn't logged into this site for awhile.

Thank you in advance.

mintacular 01-10-2021 05:50 AM

eBay

I contacted him via eBay about a card I wanted and mentioned net54 but from what I recall he did not reply maybe he was afraid of eBay putting a restriction on his account for dealing off of eBay....

I have dealt with him several times. All was good both buying and selling. Eddie

KingFisk 01-10-2021 06:47 AM

Very reasonable fellow to deal with via email. Bought several cards directly.

Send him a private message through this site. He should receive an email that he has a message here. Maybe he will respond to that.

sreader3 01-10-2021 07:57 AM

Pete is knowledgeable about T206 and easy to deal with.

mintacular 01-10-2021 08:23 AM

Had the same experience. I don’t think he is on net54 anymore. That is the vibe I got.

BobbyStrawberry 01-11-2021 05:13 PM

I had contacted him recently about an ebay listing and he said that he won't sell ebay-listed cards anywhere else, "no exceptions".

Ultimately that's his prerogative but you would think he'd want to avoid the fees/taxes that come with ebay. I've looked at his listings on a handful of occasions.

Pete

Any updates on this? I would love to purchase 4-5 cards from him and just avoid the sales tax. Curious if anyone on here deals with him regularly and could pass along my contact and maybe he and I can talk?

Thanks in advance

Pete’s a good guy

yanksfan09 08-16-2022 06:55 PM

I’ll echo the sentiments here, another +1 for Pete, great guy!

RCFire82 08-16-2022 08:19 PM

He's obviously well vouched for on here, but I can speak to his unwillingness (at least lately) to deal through n54 versus ebay. I forget the t206 I was trying to make a deal on (it had an upside down Piedmont back), I simply asked if he was on n54 and he sort of went off on me about "not risking his ebay reputation just to save me from having to pay tax"... guess he forgot it's a mutually beneficial thing. And now seeing he's done plenty of deals outside of Ebay, a bit hypocritical in my opinion. Anyways, after that response I told myself I would shop elsewhere.

I wrote him about a card recently, and now the listing is gone because of that standard ebay "error in the listing" reason.....but the price and everything else seemed fine (which comes off like the card was sold elsewhere).

So who knows what's going on

Casey2296 08-16-2022 09:16 PM

With some folks it's just better to pay the eBay nut if it's a card you want.

Maybe he's just careful, not hypocritical.

I'm sure he's a good guy (as most, if not all, are in this community), and he's got some great cards. He just wasn't very tactful in our correspondence with one another. The "hypocritical" assessment could be delved further into...but such funner things we can all be posting about.

Did you happen to read the rule in bold letters at the top of every page? It needs to be adhered to, thanks
.

RCFire82 08-17-2022 07:08 AM

Sorry Leon. My first post (#42) I made sure to finish off with my full name. I thought that sufficed. You'd like it on every post in the thread then?

Yes, Whenever that rule above applies your full name should be in the post or obtainable from it. If you put it under your id or in your sig line, scramble it a little but keep it readable, then you won't ever have to think about it again. Or you can just put it in each post it needs to be in. Thanks...
