t206's Uncommon Commons suddenly Common?

Help me out gang!

I check eBay from time to time to see how many of the " tougher " commons in the t206 series are listed for sale.

Right now, it seems that the tougher commons are quite common.

In the past I would see 3 or 4, certainly less than 10, cards from tougher commons listed for sale.

Now, there are 10-15 of these individual cards listed for sale, in varying prices, with some being very affordable / reasonable.

So for you experts with much more insight than I have, and who have years of experience in the t206 realm, to what do you attribute this sudden influx of uncommon commons with a " commons " type inventory?

Are collectors cashing out or taking advantage of higher prices? How could the higher prices be justified if there is more inventory to select from?

Thanks for everyone's time and input.

I know all of you have some thoughts about this.

The tougher commons are still scarcer than ordinary common T206's.

The short prints, for example, will show up less and command higher prices than ever before. They haven't become more common. Schulte (front View), Ames (hands at chest), Reulbach (Cubs on shirt) just to name a few, aren't popping up all over the place.

There is definately some 'cashing out' going on, but the tide is lifting the boat of most cards in the set.
