Open for Bidding - Love of the Game Auctions

Hi Everyone:

Just a quick note to let you all know that the Love of the Game Fall, 2021 Premier Auction is now open for bidding. The auction closes November 27 - the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

We've got a great selection of cards and memorabilia in this one, starting with a gorgeous 1917 E135 Collins McCarthy Babe Ruth.

There's an outstanding prewar baseball selection including the #9 T3 Turkey Red set on the PSA Registry, nearly complete and broken out card-by-card.

For the baseball memorabilia collectors, we've got more than 130 lots of memorabilia, photos, tickets and stubs ranging from the 19th Century to 1976. If you're a collector of programs, there are hundreds to choose from.

And if you like football, this is our biggest football memorabilia offering ever, with a bunch of rare programs dating back to the 19th Century.

For the first time, I think my favorite lot in this auction is NOT a prewar item - it's this 1960s Type 1 photo of Willie Mays. Just a simple, inexpensive photo, but I love the perspective of it. It's just a cool photo. https://bid.loveofthegameauctions.co...e?itemid=25267

We hope you enjoy this sale, as it was a blast to put this one together.

If you're so inclined, you can visit the auction at https://bid.loveofthegameauctions.com/Lots/Gallery

Good luck to those bidding and also to those consigning!

-Al

Al, I am so pleased to see these treasures you bring to us. The memorabilia draws and captivates me immediately. This is due, in part, to your catalog introduction which masterfully tells us of your grandfather and his monumental impact on your love of the game. "the one who taught me baseball history and baptized me with a passion for the game that's never gone away." The other part is somehow guided by these baseball 'mirrors' providing both madeleines and fine tea for dipping. Thank you very much, ole buddy Barry
