T-207 Johnson... Very Cheap, or Weak Market?

So I'll admit that I don't follow the T-207 market all that closely, but this seems like a great deal to me. Am I missing something here?

Im not in the t207 m,arket, but I thought soemthing that made it rough on them is there is no glossy front to the cards that results in "cracking"...I dont really know what Im talking about, but I thought Ive read that on the board a couple times and the seller specifically points the glossy front. Again, NOT accusing anyone here, just what i THOUGHT I've read.

a little research

The last time he sold this card it sold for $390 to a buyer with a feedback rating above 2500. It seems like the last buyer had an idea of what he was looking at. If the last buyer thought it was "fishy" I'd be wary as well. Nice to know the seller accepts returns on raw cards.

I just think the t207 Johnson doesn't sell well in general, mainly because it's an ugly card.

Cue the criticism!

Agreed.
I don't know about the selling history but it is one ugly card IMO.
Looks nothing like him.

Johnson is the easiest card in the set so a lot of folks have one already.

I thought it was a good buy for the winner.

Johnson

I thought the bottom edge looked possibly trimmed. That's why I didn't bid. If the card gets a PSA 4 the buyer could double their money, so it may have been a good gamble for somebody.

I agree that the Johnson card has a high population. Perhaps it was double-printed since were so few of the big stars in the T207 set.

I thought the buyer got a great buy. T207 Johnsons aren't like Bresnahans or McGraws which pop up all the time. This looks like an SGC 40, maybe a 50 if the buyer gets lucky, and he should have no trouble flipping the card in the holder for a very nice profit, if that is what he wants.
As far as the "glossy" front, I am not sure what that is all about. Some T207s do suffer from "crazing" on the front but the card looks fine from the scan and the T207s are rarely, if ever, counterfeited or replicated. Looks good to me.....

The T207 Walter Johnson may be the only case of a player whose card in the E91 set more closely resembles him than that of him in a mainstream set.
