Finally got one of these cards :)
This Larry Corcoran guy threw three no-hitters, finished with a 177-89 record over eight seasons, and he led the league in strikeouts (1880), wins (1881) and ERA (1882). |

Continuing the N172 theme, it's been a good month for Dalrymple OJ's. After nearly a year of nothing, 2 have surfaced and I, of course, scooped them up.
|
OJ's are hot right now! Nice pick ups guys!
Technically Ty arrived about a week ago, but I hadn't got around to posting him in June due to my work schedule. According to the seller it's a new to the hobby card from a one owner collection. That sealed the deal for me! https://photos.imageevent.com/threet...cobbpsa3_1.jpg |

I'm a Cubs collector, so part of it is probably a focus bias and part is probably coincidence, but I've been seeing so Silver Flints up for sale/auction the past couple years I feel like it's the junk wax of OJs. |
Nice #181 Ruth Michael. Presents far nicer than a 2 and it's centered nicely.
My pick up of the year candidate arrived yesterday compliments of REA. Ty is sensational! https://photos.imageevent.com/threet...jcobbfront.jpg https://photos.imageevent.com/threet...obbreverse.jpg |
That's a beautiful CJ Cobb. There's 1.5s and then there's 1.5s like this one. Really wonderful card and borders. I love it.

And the others in this thread are awesome. Nice pick ups so far, guys! . |
Many thanks Jeff & Leon and I agree. When a card displays like this the numerical # given by third party grading is pretty irrelevant.
I'm beyond happy with the purchase! |
Thanks Eric and Tony!
Tony, that Cobb is fire! |

Congrats on the pickup |
Amazing CJ Cobb!

Geez, some amazing adds here already!
I added back this great Delong Cochrane card…. Probably overpaid a little but I just couldn’t let this card this well centered get away! |
Mike, Jeff K, Daryl, Phil - Thanks fellas
|
Beauties Tony and Michael
The Goudey Babe and the CJ Cobby present so much nicer than the grades |
Heck of a start to the month.
Great additions. That 1.5 CJ Cobb looks way nicer than a 1.5. Congrats! And a '14 too! |
Tony, as if you need another compliment on an amazing looking 1914 CJ Cobb- congrats!
Nice Ruth Mike- also amazing for the grade. As is the Delong Cochrane - great eye appeal |

I got this one in a trade deal a few days ago. It's not baseball, but a well-known card in the hobby.
Oh, and I have no freaking idea why PSA put it in that stupid over-sized slab!! I am gonna' have to get this fixed !! https://d1htnxwo4o0jhw.cloudfront.ne...HrsxH6hi1w.jpg |

I always swore I’d never buy what looks to be a trimmed card, but most every, never, has an exception. I love the look of this card.
I need to do some archive digging to see what’s up with the print lines you see on these sometimes. Very curious and I know there are some serious C card folks here so hopefully there is some info floating around. Happy 4th to all! Bob |
Scrolling back through this thread once again this morning just to have another look at Jeff's amazing signed Ruth card! Happy 4th everyone!
Oh, and thanks to Craig, Brian A and Ryan for the props on my Cobb pick up. Appreciate it fellas. |

I am psyched for this pickup but it has been tough passing on many great items I keep seeing and even harder as I shrink my collection to upgrade the quality of cards as best I can. Down to 16 Cards in the collection. |

Just slightly less cool than a signed Ruth, are these t206 Teletrade pickups.
I just found them in a long forgotten box, and while they predate the internet, they might have been acquired in (a) July. I think they are my only t206 cards (unless they aren't t206 cards, or if I find more buried deeper). They fit nowhere in my collection (except evidently forgotten boxes), so offers for the lot encouraged. Doug |

Today is a very good mail day after a long drought in finding anything new for my Lou Criger collection. The notebook cover came from Sterling Sports Auctions and the Photograph from Kris Sweckard who is now my favorite person. Someone please sell me a Rose PC and J=K

Lot's of great cards posted this month.
While technically a June purchase this did arrive in July. The photo isn't as clear as most OJ's I collect but overall I thought it was a nice card for the given grade. |
