Toughest T200 secured. One away from completing the set

A super tough 1968 3d - pop 12 only and a nice Cobbie for my W516 run

Here is my pickup from HA this weekend

Out and about today.

Two things

Brian, is that w512 Ruth genuine? I was under the impression that W512’s with that color lettering were reprints. I could be wrong.

Fast start to the month for the forum.

Here is one link showing the same color lettering. Go down to the second image. Now, as far as finding another example with the same color background? I am distracted by the Steelers game.

Strong month out of the gate and its only day one, Net54 members never disappoint.

Jim, those 68 cards are so beautiful in their raw simplicity, much like the 69 Nabisco set, a reflection of the times.

Recent add. While others were going for garters, I was eyeing this 350-460/25 rarer beauty. Pop 3, only 5 higher.

That's some Cobb 4.5 It would like good in a 6 holder.

Super happy to have acquired this card for my west coast type collection.

1888 N338-1 SF Hess California League. About 20 known examples exist so right up there with Hens Teeth.

When Lew Lipset's The Encyclopedia of Baseball Cards Volume 1 - 19th Century Cards was published in 1983, he noted that S. F. Hess California League cards "must rate with Four Base Hits as the rarest of the 19th century photographic cards."

At that time only sixteen cards in the set were known to exist, including eleven different in the Burdick Collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Four new additions to the set have been discovered since.

This is one of them.

Wow, this is going to cause my image as a hater of the opinion sellers to take a hit, but I must admit that the shaped holder inside the slab is pretty impressive on those BF3 pennants.

Looks way better than the recent post about an item being pinched in the side of the slab.
