Just picked up another card for my 1934 goudey HOF set

If that just isn't one of the prettiest vintage sets ever made, then I don't know what is!

I recently added a couple 1931 Tour of Japan postcards. The one with Gehrig kind of goes with the Ruth one that I already had.

New addition to my Highlander collection.....

I agree!
I know the 1934 Goudey does not get as much love as the 1933 for obvious reasons, but I really like how bright the colors are, and how consistent the design is. Its a shame there is no Ruth, but the Gehrig's are a nice concession prize :)

My wife just got this for me. One of my all-time favorites. He is in my personal Hall of Fame.

Excited to upgrade to this card

Nice one, Phil. I struck out on the VE Bescher for my Bescher back run. I collect this back that I call Kotton type 1. If you get to the end of your run, and only need this one to finish, I'll trade it to you. If you already have this back, then that's even better.

I do have the NGO already, looking for the NGO "Not In A Trust" or type 2 back.

I had a really nice sgc 1 about 5 years ago and I was dumb enough to let it go. I think this is the most beautiful card ever created.

There are some awesome pick ups in this thread- lots of rare stuff and many serious players. Congrats everyone.

I picked this up in LOTG last night, it’s rare and it’s early Ruth, so why not

I picked up the M114 lot with Gehrig as an impulse buy. I know there are a lot of variations so can anyone narrow down the year of the Gehrig?

I just received this Crescent in the mail from a board member (JMANOS), very easy to deal with, and hope to do more business with him in the near future.

Been looking for a Crescent for a long time and I'm happy to have this beater in my collection. Still looking for more examples so if you know of any for sale please lmk.

I think the sheer amount of N172 in the recent HA auction really allowed some stuff to pass a bit under the radar. There were some nice deals for a lot of people when the auction ended.

I snagged a Chicago NL designated Walt Wilmot for a bit less than I thought it would end up being.
