Highest Graded Cobb in Your Collection
1 Attachment(s)
I may have had a personal breakthrough in my ability (inability) to post scans. Here goes:
I like this card for a number of reasons; First, it comes from the somewhat elusive Rogers Peet set, features Cobb in a rare fielding pose and shows him in an A's uniform, without the familiar D. |
Nice grass.

I typically do not collect high grade…this is my highest graded cobby.

Since I like my cards non-graded, I have to go with my highest grated Cobb card.

Yes, correct Ryan! Did well, but certainly wish I still had it.
Valuable lesson about “holding”. :) |

Just this guy. Grateful I got it before prices went out of control, and glad to still have it

A three-way tie. I don't think I have too many pre-war cards graded higher than five. When I bought these Cobbs fifteen years ago they were affordable.

Especially love the T205, I've been wanting to add a T205 Cobb to my collection for awhile now. |

What's the most expensive Cobb in any grade? W600? or may be Ty Cobb back?

No, this did not come from the Black Swamp...

Scott's W600 will take the cake in this thread... and a ton of nice Cobby's otherwise... Not too high of a grade here, but nice looking for the grade (as they say)... The wrinkle looking blemish on the lower right is only a paper scratch, same look though . https://luckeycards.com/cobb3.jpg |

Back in the days or years ago....i have come across some Cobbs.
The highest i believe was the 2.5 Cobb (red) last year to a fellow N54. I still have a Cobb (green) 1.5 from a N54. and love to show a oddball in here.......1916-20 UNC Big Heads which i also got from a N54. |

Your E95 is a beauty!
The only Cobb currently in my collection. https://i.ibb.co/0fh9xJk/11813-70598...20-190-285.jpg |
Not my highest graded but by far my best looking.

Your E95 looks awfully nice as well and presents much higher than its technical grade. Cobbs E95 is definitely one of my favorite of his "E" card images. Scott |

As of 20 minutes ago via REA. Bid held up through everything (granted it was a high bid). Most I’ve ever spent on a card.

I am not really a Cobb collector but this thread is making me reconsider
Great cards and variety |
My highest is a PSA 6 1921 Exhibits. My highest T206 is a PSA 5 bat off shoulder Old Mill.
|
"I wish I still had pics to compare (lost on a damaged computer) but this looks just like my old one that I sold it back in 2009..."
I got this one in REA a while back, I hear ya though... wish I had back all the Cobbs, Uzits etc... I had in the past. |

Absolutely love Threads like this. Great to see all those fantastic Cobb's. Mine is nothing much, but it's the only one I have (for now). Solid registration and deep color...I personally don't think it was trimmed at the top, but SGA did (shrug).

Sadly, I believe he was a shitbag of a human. I own zero Cobb cards, and never will.

And great cards in this thread otherwise, also. To me this one looks like it could be a grade higher. And I will take this kind of miss cut every day and twice on Sunday. Thanks Tony and the BST! |

Cool story bro |

But I'm sure he's just "racis" like the pearl clutching sjw crowd wants to portray him... |
I hate to engage with Snowman but even a modest attempt at research would help catch you up to speed on Cobb’s actual story.

Not the highest grade but one of my favorites. I believe the Detroit Free press postcards were all cut from a single sheet, and never made it to local distribution.
