Something has always been intriguing to me about cards with bold red backgrounds...T206, 1914 / 1915 CJ, caramels cards...lets see some.

I sure hope it does! And soon! I realize the scandal needs a spotlight and we should not have our heads in the sand regarding the issue. Threads on the scandal should definitely exist here and elsewhere to make more collectors aware. I don't deny that fact. But do we really need to inject it into the threads where collectors are simply trying to enjoy the hobby and share scans of their cards? I no longer buy cards because of the scandal. However it would be nice to come to this forum and still enjoy seeing these types of card threads without having more of the scandal thrown in my face. sincerely, Ηhϋck W0l |
That's an incredible spread, Justin. Thanks for sharing.

Ted! Congrats on picking up the Old Mill Greminger with the red bar! I wondered who snagged that! Awesome!

Hi Jack
I haven't owned that Greminger for years. I still have a scan of it, so I posted it. I think Ryan R. now owns this card (or one very similar to it). TED Z T206 Reference . |

I've had the VT Griffey for almost 30 years, I know it's good. Sometimes centered cards are real. Lol.

PS. If you look closely, it's not perfectly centered, just ver well centered.

Look at the pop report. 8 8s, 3 9s, and speculation was those are counterfeits that snuck through. In contrast, 1897 8Qs and 729 9Qs. But you don't have to listen to me. |
2 Attachment(s)
The font on Griffey's name and position on yours is too light also and lines up differently. Another sign of a counterfeit. Look how much darker a real one is and how it aligns differently.

Do some more research Peter. Too many nice red cards have been posted on this thread to get in a back and forth with you about the authenticity of a $50 card from the 80s. Thanks for your opinion.

Is this one (not my card) fake as well? I really don't care if my copy is a fake or not. One of my first pick ups as a young boy...when he was playing here in Vermont. It's not for sale, so I'm good reguardless.
