Hey Ted..... I always thought this variation of Reulbach was a bit scarce because there was only the Piedmont 150 back. That is until I recently bought the Sweet Cap. Just how many different backs of Reulbach are there? |

Not from the 1908 champs, but what about from their first championship team of 1876?

On a side note, the Cubs haven't won it all in 108 years. That game last night was their 103rd post season game in franchise history. Knowing that history loves to leave a trail of eery facts and coincidences, could we see the Cubbies in 5?

I am rooting for Cleveland, but the Cubs have more than a good Chance.

Some amazing stuff guys!
I think it would really cool if the cubbies were to wear 1908 throwback uni's. |

Thanks Pat. WOW! that Hindu is something. I'm going to keep an eye out for the Sovereign.

Here's the starting lineup from the 1908 Series, all raw, with Mordecai as the pitcher. (Tinker and Chance were cracked out of SGC holders, 20 and AUTH respectively.) These particular cards all have Piedmont and Sweet Caporal backs, but I have several T206 Cubs with tougher backs, including a Hindu red Chance (with front damage), a Cycle 460 Reulbach no glove, an AB 350 Pfeister throwing, and an AB 460 Overall yellow sky. I also have a Chance yellow portrait that looks much nicer than this red portrait, but I wanted the symmetry of having the infield be all "CUBS" portraits.

Here's a supplement of a team that could have won it all. A chance to be up 3-2 turned into a 1-4 series loss after the Cubs had an 8-0 lead and gave up 10 straight, followed by blowing a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the 9th the next day. Attachment 249331 |

Here's kind of a similar piece to the Chicago Sunday Tribune supplement, it's from the Philadelphia Enquirer of Oct 13, 1929

Game 7 here we go...

I have a question about the t206 Jack Pfiester cards. I know they spelled it "Pfeister" on the cards, but on my PSA graded examples they also call him "Jake" instead of Jack on the slab.
I can't find any other source that calls him "Jake" other than PSA. Are they just clueless? |

I'm new to t206 collecting, but this almost makes me want to send an email to them to say "his name is not Jake" and get my card slabbed correctly. My cards are pretty trashed (pic attached), but I do want them at least labeled properly. And congratulations to the 2016 Cubs! Woooo! http://i537.photobucket.com/albums/f...pszukgkydw.jpg |
