Sorry, no scanner, but mine are the 1910 PC796 and 1913 Fatima Washington issues (with the latter representing Walter's best year: 36-7, 1.14 ERA--what a stratomatic card he had!!!). Highest regards to all, Larry |
I did not see the [NSFW] tag !!!!!

JD used to always brag about his Polar Bear Johnson. We'll see if he comes through for this post.

Walter Johnson's rookie card from 1908. AFAIK, the only HOF rookie card from the Rose Co. Postcard set - unless a Speaker from the set actually exists. This is 1 of only 2 or 3 known.

Not a card, but my favorite baseball statue by Ulrich Dunbar in 1924. Can you tell that Walter Johnson is my favorite player?

Brian, for the life of me, I can't understand why you stubbornly insist on hanging on to the AT WaJo card with that ugly crease!! :D

When I went to post mine and saw everyone's high grade cards I was embarrassed because mine is only a PSA 2MK. Then I thought for a second and said to myself.......but this is a Walter Johnson, who cares what condition!

Tony, you have a big Johnson.
:) |
Nahhh! Don't be fooled by the humongous SGC slab Mikey.
Without it, I'm actually quite petite. ;) |

I have two studio portraits of Walter, most likely 1920's, that I picked up from a major collection about forty years ago. I have never seen anything like these. Photos were taken in Los Angeles. The second photo was a potential advertising photo that has Walter holding an Oh Henry candy bar. Two of my favorite items. Both are about 7.5x9.5 in size
|
Is it just me or does WaJo look a bit like Robin Williams in the previous photo?
|
In a freak of nature
I have two Johnsons, but only one Ball (Neal)
I won't be showing these to anyone soon. |

Only because I wanted to play too and who can resist a good innuendo, I will offer my tiny Johnson for your viewing pleasure. Obviously I can't hang with the big boys on this one, but I loved this particular subset as a brand new collector in the late 70s.
