April Pickups
1 Attachment(s)
Just bought this today, April 01, 2015. Has anyone ever seen this Jackson with green border before? Is it some kind of error, or is it a later print, like Helmar?
|
Did you pay 6 figures for it? If not, probably a fantasy piece...........

April Pickups
If you're going to play an April Fools prank, it's probably best to not use the most famous Net54 April Fools subject of all time. [emoji4]

A non-April Fools version
Just arrived today. Pretty jacked about this one. Looks amazing in hand.
It came to work, and I couldn't wait. Had to take a picture with my phone. http://sportscardalbum.com/c/ie4482hl.jpg |

My newest pick up. I'm starting to really like this Evers variation, and am thinking about a back run now.

This is a tough one. Glad to have found a nice 2!

Just picked this up from member darwinbulldog (thanks Glenn!) on B/S/T. I live in Raleigh and grew up on minor-league ball in the heart of Tobacco Road, so I was very excited to start this set, especially with a Raleigh player.

Opening day birthday boy:
1 Attachment(s)
Sunday will be Opening Day for MLB and will be the 139th Birthday for the pitching hero of the 1st (20th Century) World Series, 'Big Bill' Dinneen.
Since I was born only a few miles from where Bill was and 51 weeks after he died there, I thought it would be appropriate that he be my latest T206 addition. Early Happy 139th, Bill ! Attachment 185372 |

Signed T201s
Can't believe I was able to get Chuck K. (Net54: InYourDeface) to part with this pair of beauties. Signed Lobert cards are so exceedingly rare -- I would absolutely kill for a signed T206 -- it is an absolute honor to own this one. My current collection of signed T201s is now up to seven:
1. Wheat 2. Leifield 3. Rucker 4. Doyle/Meyers 5. Leach 6. Lobert 7. Bridwell <a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/kgq3AGTzk5wsJHZS56PFbnY2VLgy2RG_a1rPg51wK6M?feat=e mbedwebsite"><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Z3Tkk8iDclk/VSM0BocFcII/AAAAAAAAmLU/UfI_joPjA7E/s800/IMG.jpg" height="799" width="800" /></a> |

Very Nice pickups so far, let's keep them coming!
|
John, great pickup - super nice-condition Diaz!! I say this because the highest graded Diaz card per the combined PSA/SGC pop reports is EX, and there's a total of only ten Diaz cards of all players graded EX in these pop reports.

These are actually February pick-ups. I'm just really slow getting to a scanner
Joe Yanello has come through for me again. Joe has been great about letting me know when a card with Howe's stamp comes his way, and always offers it at a fair price.
<a href="http://s150.photobucket.com/user/T206ster/media/270%20-%20Doyle_zpszz0ufk2o.png.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s81/T206ster/270%20-%20Doyle_zpszz0ufk2o.png" border="0" alt="270 - Doyle photo 270 - Doyle_zpszz0ufk2o.png"/></a> Mitchell comes from an eBay transaction with board member Larry. Thanks, Larry. <a href="http://s150.photobucket.com/user/T206ster/media/271%20-%20Mitchell_zpsid00bkwr.png.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s81/T206ster/271%20-%20Mitchell_zpsid00bkwr.png" border="0" alt="271 - Mitchell photo 271 - Mitchell_zpsid00bkwr.png"/></a> Numbers 270 and 271 in the rebuilt collection. Thanks to everyone on the board for the heads-ups when these show up at auction or shows or whatever. I really appreciate the help getting as many of these back together as I can. |

Nice Howes Ed! And Greg, you're getting some beautiful t206s
Love this Kling for a few reasons. The registration and caption jump are cool, and I've been after this f/b combo for a little while. The Chase is my newest 2-namer (Jacklistch). |
Pretty neat item... I've known these boxes existed, but never saw one come up for sale. El Principe de Gales, in addition to the small clam shell cigarette boxes that held cards, also produced cigars. The cigar boxes are the size of a typical wooden cigar box, and essentially look like a giant sized version of the cigarette box.
http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j2...psyvggqr2p.jpg For comparison, here's the cigarette box: http://www.rustywilly.com/OTHER/1909T206EPDGBox2.jpg |
luke....
that brown "caption" jump is exceedingly rare....
if that kling was inside the border you would be looking at a multi K card:eek: |
Awesome pickup Jon.

Picked up a tough 1911 Zeenut pose variation. Heitmuller in general is among the very tough 1911 Zeenut subjects, but the small pose is incredibly hard to find.
