WTB: large autograph collection
Looking to buy a large collection of vintage autographs. Doesn't necessarily have to be baseball. Will likely be willing to pay more than you would get on ebay if you have quality or a large autograph collection to sell.

How big are you looking for? What type of stuff? I've got stuff all the way from Ferdinand/Isabella, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, to Ty Cobb, Cy Young to modern stuff like Mantle, Williams, etc. From 1492 to 2012 or so.

I would be curious too. Maximum purchase price? $10,000? $25,000? $50,000? $100,000? $250,000? And you are talking about full cash amount at time of purchase/transfer of items, right ? Within the past year, I was approached by an interested person wanting to buy my collection. His terms were to purchase it in installments, but with a right of refusal to commit to purchasing next installment. Became pretty obvious his financing of installment #2 and so on would be dependent upon his ability to sell the prior installment to raise the funds to purchase the next installment. I sent him packing. Only loser in that scheme would have been me. |

Just wanted to bump this thread to share my experience with Jeff. Through his good reputation here, I approached him last week about selling my autographed baseball collection of 250+ that I started in 1992. It's been a labor of love, having gotten 95 percent of them in person.
He was as easy to deal with as I had hoped, and treated me fairly. The transaction was smooth and free of headaches. I've often found dealing with Net54 members to be really great. I am in the market to purchase between 4000 - 5000 autographs in the next month or two. I have hundreds of autographed photos. Possibly more than a thousand, I really don't know. Baseball and hockey dominant with basketball and football as well. Some boxing. I have no idea what to do with them all and can't imagine the logistics of shipping.

Just an FYI to anyone looking to sell an autograph collection... Jeff and I just finished a sale of about 500 items and he was very easy to work with, very thorough in his analysis and offer, and made the whole experience a positive one. I’d recommend that folks give Jeff a chance if they’ve got a collection to sell. If anyone is considering Jeff and wants more info, please PM me and I’ll be happy to share.

Wow, I haven't bumped this one for five months. I guess since sales have been slow this year I might as well just buy instead. Someone sell me an autograph collection please :) Looking for vintage autograph collections other than just sports as well, entertainment, science, history, space, political, etc. Index cards, flats, and photos preferred. Willing to look at large or small collections. Just need some fresh (old) stuff around here it's been a slow year.
