postman just delivered mine! Comes with a neat little magnet too. They certainly go above & beyond as far as presentation. Could take a while getting thru this ~650 page behemoth!

Incredible stuff, if you collect Ramly's save your dough for the auction, with over 140 card offerings that includes 2 high grade WoJo's ! My magnet is already on the fridge :)

At least REA catalogs arrive well before the end of the auction. I haven't had a Legendary auction catalog ever arrive before the auction ends

As of 12:19 mine has NOT arrived!

REA website says that catalogs get mailed out on April 1st so some of you guys must be on the inside track. As a resident of the Great White North I won't be holding my breath but at least, like Max said, the REA catalog will arrive in Canada before the auction is over, unlike many of the other AHs. In the meantime, anybody know when the online preview will be up?

Don't care about the catalog but really looking forward to the online preview.

Hi Net54! This was a new one for us: A few people got catalogs yesterday before we got our first sample copy! In the past, we have always gotten our first samples many days before any others are shipped. For this catalog, the printer apparently had his own ideas about when to start sending them out (I guess they were ahead of schedule) which is fine but my understanding is they have shipped only a modest number each of the past couple days (and are far from finished). Therefore arrival times may vary a little more than normal due to their sending over a period of many days. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to people who are looking for their catalog to arrive (because they have heard it has arrived elsewhere) and are wondering where theirs is. They will all be on their way this week and we will have the auction up online as soon as possible.

I got mine yesterday, and each auction description just says this is a stolen item from the Halper collection call Peter Nash or visit Haulsofblame.com. Is this a misprint Rob? :D

That one made me laugh.

Mr. Wonkaticket, kind sir, I take great exception to your last post. It is absolutely NOT accurate that all items in the auction are stolen items from the Halper collection.

Of course, it is a given that most are, but if you would just take the time to read carefully, you would see that some were not stolen (I think five or six, I don’t have the exact count as I type this), and those few lots, well, they are fake.

I’m glad that I was able to clear this up for you, and I thank you for your extremely impressive early left bid on the “Strong Man” card (For context, see:

I've been walking around depressed on a cold rainy day since I didn't receive mine yet.
Want to check out my consigned lots and look at the museum quality lots that I can't afford.

When I heard the thud on my front porch this morning I thought sure my postman had taken a header, but, no, it was the annual orgazmatron known as the REA catalog.

Some awesome things up for auction - not that anyone should be surprised by that!

BTW - I love the smell of it! :D

Wow, this Ramly collection is insane. That SGC 96 Walter Johnson is immaculate. The centering is perfect, and there's not a chip or a speck of white to be seen.

I'm seriously drooling paging through this. I might not sleep tonight.

No catalog for me either. I am thinking a possible class action.

Got mine - the shipping box was rain soaked but the catalog was safely sealed in an insert bag.

Amazing contents and presentation.

Mine arrived on Saturday here in sunny earthquake country Los Angeles. Great stuff. Catalog is thick enough that i can use it to shield myself if we have another shaker :D

Not that it makes much of a difference, I believe the "quadruple" strike T206 is a triple.

I guess Texas is not on the REA most favored states. must be because of the web site owner and people within 10 miles of him which makes us 2nd class citizens :D

I am amazed by the offerings in the catalog & hope to win a few lots, more if the wife let's me sell the house-not happening.
When I saw the catalog over 3,000, maybe 4,000 T206's being sold...all the T204's etc. etc. .. it did make me wonder:
Is there ever a turn in this hobby where the vast amount of items auctioned brings prices down or the incredible offerings only lead to new collectors and prices going higher. Or it's just the way it is. I guess supply and demand of the hobby intrigue me. I love the supply here & wish the demand was beneficial to my collecting dreams

True there is much more material available via auction these days but at the same time the websites where dealers listed large inventories of cards for, if not reasonable, at least plausible prices, are mostly gone; and the number of true ebay auctions is down as well; so I think the supply overall is probably about the same.

I actually got mine on Thursday. Took me until today to go through everything.

Didn't know PSA graded catalogs.

REA Catalog was just dropped on my front porch in suburban Chicago! Unfortunately, the weight of the catalog collapsed the porch and now I need to call a concrete contractor. :(
Then again maybe I'll wait until after the auction ends to make that call. I can always use the back door for awhile! :)

mr norris is the guy who adds the weight and the smell to each and every REA catalog...that everyone loves to bring up again...and again...and again!!!!:p:p

If Chuck Norris were employed by REA I wouldn't want to be Peter Nash.

Canadians and mean just don't go together. If they slapped him I am sure that it was by accident.

I wish that stereotype was correct. Spend a Friday night on Granville Street in Vancouver or Pandora Ave in Victoria or a thousand other burgs across the Great White North at closing time, Alex, and you might revise your estimate. It is true though that after a Canadian breaks a guy's head open he will apologize.

Things have been known to get a little crazy out there in Vancouver, i.e. Canucks playoff loss to the Bruins a few years ago and lets not forget the Canucks playoff loss to the Rangers in 1994. :eek:
