Almost completed the run of T210 series 8 New Orleans players (and no I don't have Jackson yet :-( ). But I like this Paige :)
|
This ought to be a good pick up thread with so many members at the national. I can't wait to see what shows up.

Two new miscuts

Teddy Ballgame

With a bit better centering this would merit a PSA 7+.......has NM/M sharp corners, and excellent eye appeal. Nevertheless, a nice upgrade for my '41 Play Ball set. Now all I need is a comparable Joe D. to complete the set..............

Nice Plow Boy Matt! They must have sold "family size" tobacco products :p

Won in the most recent Hake's. 1925 RPPC of the St. Louis Stars, featuring HOF shortstop Willie Wells, in his earliest known image. I know it's seen better days, but I am absolutely giddy over this one! With regard to my period HOF collection - this guy wasn't even on my radar! My new fav. Love the Negro league stuff.

Jeff,
Congrats on a beautiful trade card. Do you by chance know where "T.C. Chittenden No. 5. Arcade" is? Any advertising on the back? Great piece. My copy and others seem to always have some registration issues but still look amazing. |
Thanks all, advertising for T.C. Chittenden on the back who was a Tobacco Retailer located in Watertown, NY.

Before I won this Waddell (Pitching) - Sovereign, my Monster Number was 108. I am not sure WHAT it is now. 108 and 2/3? I believe it to be real, before I actually get see it in person, based on the vendors word and reputation. Maybe one of you would be so kind as to crack a slab (so we are sure it is real) and mangle a Waddell, in the same fashion so we can do some side by side comparisons:D:D:D
|
Mike- nice collector grade car_

Got all these plus a few others from board member oaks1912 at Nationals. He was extremely generous with his time telling me more then I thought I could ever know about the PCL and Zeenuts. Really, a great guy! He's forgotten more about the PCL and Zeenuts that any of the rest of us will ever know.
