It's refreshing to see a scan of an AMERICAN BEAUTY in which the creases and corners match up on the scans of the front and back. Nice CARD. |

Thanks Phil. I'm guessing 1912 but it can be as late as 1913. The Cubs stopped using the solid blue jerseys in 1913. Cheney only pitched 3 games in 1911, his first year. He had his breakout year in 1912 winning 26.

What a COOL ;) idea this was for a thread Leon! I guess I never realized just how many players are pictured with those sweaters on. No wonder most ball players were skinny back then wearing those hot and heavy things around.
These are the only 2 players from the E98 set with sweaters on. |
