Updated!! #104 OT: Please keep my daughter in prayer
 

As some of you know my youngest, Kadence age 3, has not had the best of luck with injuries as a child. This has caused previous sales of my cards to pay for this stuff. :)

For the past few months she has had a fever and mild back pain. After many test over the last few weeks she was finally admitted to the Mayo clinic in Rochester MN yesterday. Today at 1pm I got call from the doctor informing me she has A.L.L type Leukemia. It is something treatable but the road is long and hard. I am just asking that you lift her up in prayer. I just want to tell you all thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything.



Just wanted to let everyone know that I just got off the phone with the insurance company and social worker in MN. They have informed me that no matter the circumstances she is covered 100% with no out of pocket expenses. It doesn't matter if I lost my job and benefits or not she is covered to the end of treatment. Then after 5 yrs in the clear the pre-existing condition goes away for insurance coverage. The power of prayer is in full work for sure. Thank you everybody. I Love My NET 54 Family

Terrible to hear about Kadence's illness, but hopeful and encouraged to hear that it is treatable and you have a diagnosis to start treatment. Children are our most precious possessions and gifts from heaven. We have 4 little angels under 10 years of age, and I can only imagine what you and your family are going through. Kade did good last night. First time she has slept all night in months. She had a blood transfusion last night around 8pm so hopefully this will bring her hemoglobin back up to where it needs to be so they can start the bigger stuff. She is the first one in for surgery this morning to have an IV put in for the injections, transfusions, and Kemo they will be giving her for the next few yrs:(

Like you, I have two daughters. Years ago my younger daughter, Zoe, had a serious head injury which left her in a coma for several days.
Thank GOD....an excellent neurosurgeon operated on her brain and saved her life. It took many months of physical therapy for Zoe to get
back to normal. Zoe grew up, married, and provided us our first grandchild.

I tell you all this because I fully appreciate your current situation. Kadence is very young and that is in her favor. We will say our prayers
for Kadence and for you and your family.

Andrew, sorry to hear about your daughter..she and your family are in my thoughts...about 8 or 9 years ago a very good friend of mine went through this with his son...he also had the years of chemotherapy. Now he is just like any other normal 11-12 year old..very active and playing sports. Stay strong!

My granddaughter is a leukemia survivor. She likewise contracted A.L.L. when she was 3 years old. She is now a very healthy 16-year-old. There are many, many stories like hers. Yours will be too.
